Jungle of Cities is the Chicago-based ensemble playing original music rooted in traditional electric folk yet fully engaged with the immediate present.

We’ve just added Peter Tambroni , an accomplished, classically trained and very creative upright bassist to our collaborative mix. Look forward to him being a part of our August by the Pond Festival show.

We've got four new recordings including:
Human Thread, featuring Annie Estabrook's haunting vocals
UnCivil War, my take on the underlying racism currently crippling our politics
Valley of the Kings, inspired by the writings of Jared Diamond (Guns, Germs and Steel; Collapse) which also features the Chicago poet Alex Valesquez.
Whitman's Wild Children, our l'homage to Lawrence Ferlingetti and his People's Manifesto
A really BIG shout of thanks to John Johnson from the band - Legs Akimbo for recording and producing the new tracks!!

Come see us at The Alley or August by the Pond next month.
